Jonathan Dorf is a playwright, screenwriter, writing consultant and teacher. His more than 40 published plays have garnered over 1500 productions—in every US state and on every continent but Antarctica. He co-founded publisher YouthPLAYS and co-chairs the Alliance of LA Playwrights. His script consulting clients include playwrights and screenwriters worldwide, and even the acclaimed Blue Man Group. Produced short films include Thicker (which he also directed, premiered Pasadena International Film Festival), Straight Eye for the Gay Guy (dir. Mary Lou Belli, premiered at Woods Hole Film Festival and winner of Best Mini-Short at the California Independent Film Festival), and Music (currently in post-production). He taught in the Playwright's Lab at Hollins University, served as US Cultural Envoy to Barbados, created Playwriting101.com for The Writers Store, has served as a longtime playwriting advisor for Final Draft, and teaches playwriting through Screenwriters University.
